( Las Vegas, NV ) – The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has put snow in the forecast for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, with one computer model suggesting the possibility of up to 3 inches accumulating in town. The graphic above is from the National Weather Service, showing possible snowfall amounts for various locations.
Forecasters stress that there are no guarantees on how much snow will fall in any given location, but all of southern Nevada is under a Winter Storm Watch beginning Tuesday afternoon and running through Thursday morning.
Even if there are only spitting snow flurries with no accumulation along The Strip, it’s supposed to be windy and cold all day long as 2014 gives way to 2015.
